Upsell Bundles: Definition, use cases
What are Upsell Bundles?
An Upsell Bundle encourages customers to purchase additional products by displaying selected offer products in the cart when a specific main product is added. Merchants can choose a main product and recommend related or complementary products to increase the average order value.
How Upsell Bundle Works?
- Merchants select a main product that triggers the upsell offer.
- Merchants choose additional products to display as upsell offers.
- When a customer adds the selected main product to the cart, the configured offer products appear in the cart.
- Customers can review the recommended products and add the ones they want to purchase.
- Merchants can optionally offer discounts on upsell products to encourage additional purchases.
Common Example of an Upsell Bundle
- Customer adds a Blue T-Shirt to the cart.
- The cart displays recommended products, such as a White Polo Shirt, Hoodie, Jeans, or Sneakers.
- Customers can click Add to include any recommended product in their cart.
- If an offer discount is configured, the customer receives the applicable discount according to the bundle settings.
